Picture & Video on Survey Visit to J-Cube

We went to JCube today to survey the place and plan our video shooting. Some of the green features that we managed to find were: Motion-sensor escalators, garden roofs and recycling bins. Will be posting some pictures soon! Our next meeting will on Thursday.

By the way, JCube have replied the email stating that we can shoot on 17 December. Till then and now, we will start to plan the script and how the video will be. Some of our ideas for the video shooting are: Storyline,  and documentary style. Will update soon.

We will be having our meeting today. We will be discussing about the presentation on our last visit to MBS. We will also be discussing about our video assignment. Currently, we have received no new reply from JCube. So, we have emailed them again. We also planned for other alternatives if our plan to do the video assignment at JCube fail. Let's hope for the reply.

Reply of The JCube and Gardens by the Bay

UPDATES

So far, we have received reply from JCube and Gardens by the Bay, stating that they have given us permission to do our video assignment. After some discussion, we have decided to do the assignment at JCube. Currently, we are planning to visit JCube for about three times. The first for us alone to walk around ourselves, the second for us to walk around with a staff, planning our video and the third day would be the viedo shooting day. We are now trying to ask JCube if they can allow us two days for both planning and video shooting. Our first planned visit would probably be on next coming Thursday.

Our next meeting will be this coming Monday. Surely we will discuss more about our plans and we hope to post them here as soon as we can.

UPDATES

So far, we have 3 meetings with each other, discussing about the location, giving ourselves roles and some research about the possible location.We conduct out meetings on every alternate Mondays and every Thursdays. Regarding the location, we used the BCA website to find out with buildings were certified with the "Green Mark Platinum" so we can focus our search on buildings that practice Energy Efficiency and Conservation (EFCO).

 So far, today, we have enquired these locations based on their special green key features (SGKF):

• JCube

         Examples of  SGKF: Rainwater harvesting system for landscape irrigation, green demolition

• Millenia Walk

       Examples of SGKF: Installation of motion sensors to control operation of escalators, roof  top design structures to bring in natural daylight into the main shopping walkways

• Gardens By The Bay 

  Examples of  SGKF: Specially selected glass with motorized shading system, Biomass co generation system with absorption chiller. Thermal stratification, displacement ventilation and slab cooling. Liquid desiccant system. Provision of photovoltaic panel. Natural water filtration using lake. Earth control measures with turbidity curtain.

We are now currently waiting for their reply. Hopefully we are able to do one of the locations.

We also have planned out how the video should be.
